والمنسوب: أبو الحسن عليّ بن المبارك بن عليّ بن أحمد الدرتائي. وبعض المحدثين يقول: الدّردائي، كان رئيسا متموّلا. من شيوخه: أبو القاسم بن البسري البندار، وغيره. ومن تلاميذه: أبو المعمّر الأنصاري، وأبو القاسم الدمشقي الحافظ، وغيرهما، وتوفي قبل سنة (٥٣٠) والله أعلم (٣).
