والمنسوب: أبو العلاء محمد بن محمد ابن أحمد بن الحسين الخزواني، البخاري. من شيوخه: أبو طاهر إبراهيم بن أحمد بن سعيد المستملي، وغيره. ومن تلاميذه: أبو عمرو عثمان بن عليّ البيكندي، توفي سنة (٤٨٠) (٣). (٨٦٦) النسبة: الخسروجردي، نسبة إلى خُسْرُوجِرْد: بضم أوله، وجرد بالجيم المكسورة، والراء الساكنة، والدال، وجيمه معرّبة عن كاف: مدينة كانت قصبة (٤) بيهق من أعمال نيسابور بينها وبين قومس، خرج منها جماعة من الأئمة عامتهم منسوبون إلى بيهق.
