والمنسوب: أبو الحسن عليّ بن رشيد بن أحمد بن محمد بن حسين الحربوي. من شيوخه: أبو الوقت السّجزي، وشهد بغداد وأقام بها، وصار وكيل الناصر لدين الله أبي العباس أحمد بن المستضيء، وكان حسن الخطّ على طريقة أبي عبد الله بن مقلة، وكتب الكثير، وكان محبّا للكتب، مات ببغداد في ثامن عشر شوال سنة (٦٠٥) ودفن بباب حرب (٣).
