والمنسوب: أحمد بن محمد ابن عبيد السلمي الجوني. يروي عن إسمعيل بن حصن بن حسان القرشي الجبيلي والعباس بن الوليد بن مزيد ابن عمرو بن محمد بن يحيى العثماني بالمدينة والحسن بن سعيد بن مرزوق الحذّاء، روى عنه الطبراني ومحمد ابن الوليد بن العباس البزاز العكّاوي بمدينة جونية، قال الحافظ: ومحمد بن أحمد بن عمرو أبو الحسن البغدادي وقيل الواسطي البزاز نزيل جونية وإمامها وخطيبها، حدث عن الحسن بن عليّ القطان وأبي بكر السراج (٤).
