والمنسوب: أبو حفص عمر بن صالح بن عثمان بن عامر المرّي، الجدياني.من شيوخه: أبو يعلى حمزة بن خراش الهاشمي. من تلاميذه: عبد الوهاب بن الحسن الكلابي بقريته، وأبو الحسين الرازي وقال: مات عمر بن صالح الجدياني، المرّي، في سنة (٣٣٢) ومنها جماعة سمعوا من الحافظ أبي القاسم علي بن الحسن بن هبة الله بن عساكر منهم: حميد، وسلطان ابنا حسان بن سبيع، وطالب بن أبي محمد بن أبي شجاع، وابنه أبو محمد حسان، وغيرهم (١).
