والمنسوب: أبو عليّ محمد بن عبد الوهاب الجبّائي. المتكلم المعتزلي (٤)، صاحب التصانيف، مات سنة (٣٠٣) ومولده سنة (٢٣٥). وابنه أبو هاشم عبد السلام. كان كأبيه في علم الكلام، وفضل عليه بعلم الأدب، فإنه كان إماما في العربية، مات ببغداد سنة (٣٢١).
