والمنسوب: محمد بن القاسم بن محمد الأموي، القرطبي، يكنى أبا عبد الله ويعرف بابن الجالطي. من شيوخه: أبي بكر محمد بن مغرم القرشي، وله رحلة سمع فيها من غير واحد، وله مع محمد بن أبي زيد قصة مذكورة في بعض التواريخ، وكان بصيرا بالفقهوالأدب، وولي الصلاة والخطبة بجامع مدينة الزّهراء، وقتلته البرابرة يوم دخلوا قرطبة في سنة (٤٠٣) (١).
