والمنسوب: إمام أهل الأدب أبو زكرياء يحيى بن علي الخطيب التبريزي.من شيوخه: أبو العلاء المعرّي، قرأ عليه بالشام، وأبو الفتح سليم بن أيوب الرازي، سمع منه الحديث، وغيرهما. من تلاميذه: أبو بكر الخطيب، ومحمد بن ناصر السلامي، وأبو منصور موهوب بن أحمد بن الخضر الجواليقي، صنف التصانيف المفيدة، وتوفي ببغداد في جمادى الآخرة سنة (٥٠٢). والقاضي أبو صالح شعيب بن صالح بن شعيب التبريزي. من شيوخه: أبو عمران موسى بن عمران بن هلال، ومن تلاميذه: حدّاد بن عاصم بن بكران النّشوي، وغيرهما (١).
