والمنسوب: أبو يعقوب إسحاق بن عبد الله الجزري البوقي. من شيوخه: الإمام مالك بن أنس، وهشيم بن بشير، وسفيان بن عيينة. من تلاميذه: هلال بن العلاء الرّقّي، ومحمد بن الخضر روى عنهما مناكير، قاله أبو عبد الله بن مندة ونسبه كذلك. البوقي، وأبو سليمان داود بن أحمد البوقي سكن أنطاكية، سمع أبا عبد الرحمن معمّر بن مخلّد السّروجي، ذكره أبو أحمد في الكنى. وبوقة: من قرى الصعيد، عن الأمير شرف الدين يعقوب الهذياني، أخبرني به من لفظه (٣).
