والمنسوب: أبو القاسم خلف بن هبة الله بن قاسم بن سماح البشيتي، المكي، مات سنة (٤٦٣) بمكة. من شيوخه: أبو محمد الحسن بن أحمد بن فراس العبقسي. وابنه أبو علي الحسن بن خلف البشيتي. من شيوخه: أبوه خلف، وكتب عنه السلفي بمكة، وأبو بكر محمد بن منصور السمعاني، ومحمد بن أبي بكر السّبخي في محرم سنة (٤٩٨) (٤).
