والمنسوب: أبو الربيع طاهر بن عبد الله الإيلاقي، الفقيه الشافعي، كان إماما. من شيوخه: أبي بكر عبد الله بن أحمد القفّال المروزي، تفقه عليه. وأبو إسحاق الأسفراييني، أخذ عنه الأصول، مات سنة (٤٦٥) وله ست وتسعون سنة. ومحمد بن داود بن أحمد بن رضوان الإيلاقي، الخطيب، أبو عبد الله من إيلاق فرغانة، أقام بمرو مدة وعلق الطريقة على الحسن بن مسعود الفرّاء، ثم انتقل إلى نيسابور، وسكنها، وعلّق الخلاف على محمد بن يحيى الجيزي، وكان فقيها صالحا. من شيوخه: الفراوي، سمع منه الحديث الكثير، وعبد المنعم القشيري، وزاهر الشّحّامي، وطبقتهم، ثم قدم مرو، وأقام في المدرسة العميدية إلى أن مات في ربيع الأول سنة (٥٣٩) (٢).
