والمنسوب: خلف بن سليمان بن خلف بن محمد بن فتحون الأوريولي، يكنى أبا القاسم. من شيوخه: أبوه سليمان، وأبو الوليد الباجي، وغيرهما، وكان فقيها أديبا شاعرا مفلقا، واستقضي بشاطبة ودانية، وله كتاب في الشروط، وتوفي سنة (٥٠٥). وابنه محمد بن خلف بن سليمان بن خلف بن محمد بن فتحون الأوريولي، أبو بكر. من شيوخه: أبوه خلف، وغيره، وكان معنيّا بالحديث، منسوبا إلى فهمه، عارفا بأسماء رجاله، وله كتاب الاستلحاق على أبي عمر بن عبد البرّ في كتاب الصحابة في سفرين، وهو كتاب حسن جليل، وكتاب آخر أيضا في كتاب أوهام كتاب الصحابة المذكور، وأصلح أيضا: أوهام المعجم لابن قانع في جزء، ومات سنة (٥٢٠) وقيل: سنة (٥١٩) (٢).
