والمنسوب: القاضي أبو الحسن عليّ بن النضر الاسنائي. قال القاضي وليّ الدولة أبو البركات، محمد بن حمزة بن أحمد التّنوخي: لم أر أفصح من القاضي أبي الحسن عليّ بن النضر الاسنائي قاضي الصعيد ولا آدب منه ولا أكثر احتمالا، وكان يحفظ كتاب الله، وقرأ القراءات، وسمع الصحاح كلها، ويحفظ كتاب سيبويه، وقرأ علوم الأوائل، وكتاب أوقليدس، وله شعر وترسل، توفي بمصر سنة (٥٠٥) وكان فلسفيّا يتظاهر بمذهب الإسماعيلية (٢). قلت: هذه الطامة الكبرى، محت تلك الفضائل، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله، وبئس المذهب، وبئس ما نتج عنه؛ فلم ينتج عنه سوى الرفض والزور، والبهتان والزندقة.
