المنسوب: أبو الحسن محمد بن الحسين بن إبراهيم بن عاصم الآبري. شيخ من أئمة الحديث، له كتاب نفيس كبير في أخبار الإمام أبي عبد الله محمد بن إدريس الشافعي ﵀، أجاد فيه كل الإجادة، وكان رحل إلى مصر، والشام، والحجاز، والعراق، وخراسان. من شيوخه: أبو بكر بن خزيمة، والربيع بن سليمان الجيزي، وكان يعدّ في الحفّاظ. من تلاميذه: علي بن بشرى السجستاني، توفي في رجب سنة (٣٦٣) (١).
