It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The previously married woman has more right to decide concerning herself (her marriage) than her guardian and the virgin should be consulted concerning herself (her marriage), and her silence is her approval.”
