It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed then he delivered the khutbah, as did Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman, on Eid, without any adhan or iqamah.
