It was narrated from Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, from the Prophet (ﷺ)

That he used to say: “My ummah is not going to be impatient before my Lord when they are delayed for half a day.” I asked Rashid: “Did you hear anything about what this half a day is?” He said: “Five hundred years.”
