Riyad as-Salihin, 958
Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Were people to know of what I know about the dangers of travelling alone, no rider would travel alone at night." <b>[Al-Bukhari]</b>.
عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "لو أن الناس يعلمون من الوحدة ما أعلم ما سار راكب بليل وحده” ((رواه البخاري)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadiths:</b><br>
1) It is recommended to travel in company, not alone.<br>
2) The warning not to travel alone applies to the roads that are not frequented by other travelers. As for modern-time busy routes, they do not fall under the description in the Hadith and it is not forbidden to travel alone through them.
