Riyad as-Salihin, 527
Abu Sufyan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do not be importunate in begging. By Allah! If one of you asks me for something and I give it to him unwillingly, there is no blessing in what I give him." <b>[Muslim]</b>.
وعن أبي سفيان صخر بن حرب رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:
لا تلحفوا في المسألة، فوالله لا يسألني أحد منكم شئياً، فتخرج له مسألته مني شئا وأنا له كاره، فيبارك له فيما أعطيته
((رواه مسلم)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) We are prohibited from taking what is possessed by others through persistent asking and embarrassing them into giving.<br>
2) What is taken by means of persistent asking and embarrassment is devoid of blessing.<br>

The narrator of this Hadith, according to the famous editions of Riyādh al-Sālihin, is Abu Sufyān Sakhr ibn Harb, whereas the version in Sahih Muslim reads: “Mu‘āwiyah reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said...” So, the correct version is as follows:<br>
Mu‘āwiyah ibn Abi Sufyān Sakhr ibn Harb (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said...”
