Hadith text · Matn

‏ إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ ‏

‏ ‏.‏

English translation

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Intense fever is from the heat of Hell-fire, so cool it down with water.”
