Related Arabic wordings are aligned to this hadith in their recorded order. Highlighting identifies textual additions or omissions only; it does not assign legal, theological or authenticity significance.
Matching ignores vocalisation, punctuation and light alif/ya spelling differences, while the displayed wording preserves the original recorded word forms. Reordered words can appear as an addition and an omission.

I asked Ibn 'Umar about (the preparation of) Nabidh in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch), whereupon he said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the (preparation of) Nabidh in green pitcher (besmeared with pitch). I then came to Ibn Abbas and said: Do you hear what Ibn 'Umar has said? Thereupon he said: What does he say? I said: He stated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has forbidden the (preparation of) Nabidh in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch), whereupon he said: Ibn 'Umar has told the truth. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) declared unlawful the preparation of Nabidh in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch). I said: What is this thing, the Nabidh of a pitcher (Nabidh prepared in a pitcher)? Thereupon, he said: Everything that is prepared in earthen pitcher.
From Tawus, that a man came to Ibn 'Umar and said: "Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibit Nabidh prepared in eartherware vessels?" He said: "Yes" So Tawus said: "I heard that from him, by Allah." He said: There are narrations on this topic from Ibn Abu Awfa, Abu Sa'eed, Suwaid, 'Aishah, Ibn Az-Zubair, and Ibn 'Abbas. [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the nabidh (date-wine) of jarr. I was alarmed by his statement: The Apostel of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the nabidh of jarr. I then entered upon Ibn ‘Abbas and asked him : Are you listening to what Ibn Umar says ? He asked : What is that ? I said : The Apostel of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the nabidh of jarr . He said :He spoke the truth. The Apostel of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the nabidh of jarr .I asked :what is jarr ? He replied : Anything made of clay.
"We asked Ibn 'Umar about Nabidh made in an earthenware jar and he said: 'The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] forbade that.' So I went to Ibn 'Abbas and said to him: 'Today I heard something that surprised me.' He said: 'What was it?' I said: 'I asked Ibn 'Umar about Nabidh made in an earthenware jar and he said: The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] forbade it.' He said: 'Ibn 'Umar spoke the truth.' I said: 'What is an earthenware jar?' He said: 'Anything that is made of clay.'"
"I heard Ibn Abi Awfa say: 'The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] forbade Nabidh made in green earthenware jars.' I said: 'And white ones?' He said: 'I do not know.'"
"I asked Al-Hasan about Nabidh made in earthenware jars - is it unlawful? He said: '(It is) unlawful. One who would not lie narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] forbade Nabidh made in Al-Hantam, Ad-Dubba' (gourds), Al-Muzaffat and An-Naqir.'"
