Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having forbidden Muzabana, and Muzabana implies the selling of dry dates for fresh dates on the tree with a definite measure (making it clear) that in case it increases,

the Messenger of Allah forbade Muzabanah. Ad Muzabanah is when what is are the tops of the trees is sold for a certain amount f dried dates; if there are more then I gain, and if there are less the I lose.
