  • يونس بن أبي إسحاق يونس بن أبي إسحاق، عمرو بن عبد الله الهمداني السبيعي، أبو إسرائيل الكوفي. روى عن: أبيه، وأنس، وأبي بردة وأبي بكر ابني أبي موسى الأشعري، وعامر الشعبي، والحسن البصري وجماعة. وعنه: ابنه عيسى، والثوري، وابن المبارك، وابن مهدي، ويحيى القطان وجماعة. قال ابن معين: ثقة. وقال ابن مهدي: لم يكن به بأس. وقال يحيى القطان: كانت فيه غفلة شديدة، وكانت سجية فيه. وقال أحمد: حديثه مضطرب، وقال أيضاً: في حديثه زيادة على الناس. وقال الأثرم: سمعت أحمد يضعف حديث يونس عن أبيه.وقال أبو حاتم: كان صدوقاً إلا أنه لا يحتج بحديثه. وقال النسائي: ليس به بأس. قال ابن عدي: له أحاديث حسان، وروى عنه الناس. روى له مسلم حديثاً واحداً عن عبد الله بن أبي السفر في المتابعات (١٨٤٤).
