Hadith text · Matn

‏ مَا حَرَّمَتْهُ الْوِلاَدَةُ حَرَّمَهُ الرَّضَاعُ ‏

English translation

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"What becomes unlawful (for marriage) through birth becomes unlawful through breast-feeding."
