sahihNarrated Anas bin Malik:
We used to offer the Jumua prayer early and then have an afternoon nap.

The best of guidance is the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and he has taught his ummah everything having to do with matters of religion, including prayer, the times of prayer and how it is to be done. Jumu‘ah prayer in particular is of great significance and very important in Islamic teachings. In this hadith, Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that at the time of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) they used to come early to Jumu‘ah and pray it at the beginning of its time, then they used to take a siesta after Jumu‘ah prayer. This was in contrast to their usual habit with regard to Zuhr prayer when it was hot; they used to take a siesta and then pray, because it is prescribed to wait until it has cooled down, which means delaying Zuhr prayer until the heat has lessened. The word translated here as siesta refers to resting at midday, even if one does not actually sleep..
