حَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، قَالَ قُلْنَا لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَىُّ اللِّبَاسِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ أَعْجَبَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ الْحِبَرَةُ ‏.‏

English translation

Qatada said:

We asked Anas b. Malik which garment did Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ﷺ) love or like (to wear). He said: The mantle of Yemen.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ أَحَبَّ الثِّيَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْحِبَرَةُ ‏.‏

English translation

Anas reported that the garment most liked by Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the mantle of Yemen.
