‏ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ فِي عَبْدِهِ وَلاَ فِي فَرَسِهِ صَدَقَةٌ ‏

‏ ‏.‏

English translation

Abu Huraitah narrated that:

the Messenger of Allah said: “The Muslim is not obliged to pay Sadaqah on his slave not his horse.”

‏ تَجَوَّزْتُ لَكُمْ عَنْ صَدَقَةِ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ ‏

English translation

Ali narrated that:

the Messenger of Allah said: “I have exempted you from having to pay Sadaqah on horses and slaves.”
