حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ أَبِي بَزَّةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ نُهِينَا عَنْ صَيْدِ، كَلْبِهِمْ وَطَائِرِهِمْ يَعْنِي الْمَجُوسَ ‏.‏

English translation

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:

“We were forbidden (to eat) the game caught by their dogs and birds – meaning the Zoroastrians.”

English translation

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:

“I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the all-black dog and he said: ‘(It is) a devil.’”
