`Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do not wear silk (clothes). For whoever wears (them) in this life will be deprived of them in the Hereafter." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] .
