يحيى (*) بن غيلان الخزاعي هو يحيى بن غيلان بن عبد اللَّه بن أسماء بن حارثة، الأسلمي من خزاعة سمع مالك بن أنس، وأبا عوانة ويزيد بن زريع. إلخ. روى عنه أحمد بن حنبل وغيره كثيرون. . . قيل عن يحيى: كان ثقة نزل بغداد، ثم خرج إلى البصرة في حاجة له فمات هناك سنة عشر ومائتين.
