١٥٥٩ - عبد ربه بن سعيد بن قيس قال أبو داود: قلت لأحمد: عبد ربه بن سعيد أحب إليك أو يحيى؟ قال: ما فيهما إلا ثقة، إلا أن يحيى أشهر. "سؤالات أبى داود" (١٦٩). قال أبو داود: قلت لأحمد: سعد؛ أعني: ابن سعيد؟ قال: ليس هو مثل هؤلاء؛ أعني: أخويه يحيى وعبد ربه، سعد ليس بمحكم الحديث. "سؤالات أبي داود" (١٨٢). قال عبد اللَّه، سألت أبي عن عبد ربه فقال: شيخ ثقة، مديني، أخو يحيى بن سعيد. "العلل" رواية عبد اللَّه (٨٠٥). روى عبد اللَّه عن أبيه: سعد بن سعيد أخو يحيى بن سعيد الأنصاري ضعيف الحديث، وعبد ربه بن سعيد هو أخو يحيى بن سعيد جميعًا ثقتان، وأما عبد ربه بخ ثقة.
