"الثقات" ١٦١٨. * وقال الآجُري: سألت أبا داود عن أثبتهم في سعيد؟ فقال: كان عبد الرحمن يقدم سرارًا، وكان يحيى يقدم يزيد بن زُرَيْع. فسألت أبا داود عن قوله. فقال: يزيد بن زريع أثبت الناس في سعيد، يزيد سمع من سعد قبل سنة أربع وأربعين. "سؤالات الآجري" ٥/ الورقة ١١. وقال أيضًا: سمعت أبا داود يقول: سرار بن مجشر ثقة، كان عبد الرحمن يقدمه على يزيد بن زريع، وهو من قدماء أصحاب سعيد مات قديمًا.
