(مرثد بن عبد الله الزمارني [بخ، س، ق]، ويقال الذماري. لا مرثد بن عبد الله اليزنى. عن أبى ذر. فيه جهالة. ذكره العقيلى، وقال: لا يتابع على حديثه. هكذا وجدت بخطى، فلا أدرى من أين نقلته الا أنه ليس بمعروف. وقد أفرده شيخنا أبو الحجاج عن مرثد بن عبد الله اليزنى. ما روى عنه سوى ولده مالك. فأما: اليزني فيكنى أبا الخير من كبار التابعين بمصر. مات سنة تسعين.
