Mishkat al-Masabih, 3785
Bahz b. Hakim, on his father’s authority, said his grandfather told that the Prophet (ﷺ) imprisoned a man on suspicion. Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Tirmidhi and Nasa’i added that afterwards let him go.
وَعَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَبَسَ رَجُلًا فِي تُهْمَةٍ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وزادَ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَالنَّسَائِيّ: ثمَّ خَلّى عَنهُ
