A man said to the Prophet (ﷺ): "My mother has died suddenly. I think that if she were able to talk (alive) she would have given in Sadaqah (charity). So, if I give Sadaqah now on her behalf, will she get the reward?" The Messenger of Allah

A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , my mother had died suddenly, and did not make a will. And I think she would have given out Sadaqah if she had been able to speak, so will she get a reward if I gave out Sada

‘A’isha said that a man told the Prophet (ﷺ) his mother had died suddenly adding that he thought she would have given <i>sadaqa</i> if she had been able to speak. He therefore asked if she would have a reward supposing he gave <i>sadaqa</i>
