It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that

As he was circumambulating the Ka'bah, the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by a man who tied his hand to the hand of another with a strip of leather or a thread or something else. The Prophet (ﷺ) cut it and said: "Lead him by the hand.”
