It was narrated from Tawoos, from his father, that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever buys food should not sell it until he has taken possession of it.” I said to Ibn 'Abbas: Why? He said: Don't you see that they are exchanging gold, but the delivery of food is delayed?
