It was narrated that Tawoos said: I was with Ibn 'Abbas, when Zaid bin Thabit said:

Are you giving a fatwa that a menstruating woman may leave before the last thing she does is to circumambulate the House? He said: Yes. He said: Do not issue a fatwa to that effect. Ibn 'Abbas said to him: Why not? Ask So and so, the Ansari woman, whether the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told her to do that? Zaid bin Thabit came back to Ibn 'Abbas smiling and said: I see that you were telling the truth.
