It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to us, young boys of Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib, as we were riding on our donkeys on the night of Muzdalifah. He started slapping our thighs and saying: "O my sons, do not stone the Jamrah until the sun rises.” Ibn ‘Abbas said: I did not think anyone would stone it until the sun rose.
