Abu Hasan, the freed slave of Abu Nawfal, narrated that

he asked Ibn ‘Abbas about a slave man who is married to a slave woman and divorces her twice (two talaqs), then they are both manumitted: can he propose to her? He said: Yes, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed a verdict to that effect.
