This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏

‏ أَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ ‏
