'Ali said, "'Ammar asked for permission to enter to visit the Prophet, (ﷺ), and the Prophet (ﷺ) recognised his voice and said, 'Welcome with the best and purest greeting!'"

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ‏:‏ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَمَّارٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَعَرَفَ صَوْتَهُ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ مَرْحَبًا بِالطَّيِّبِ الْمُطَيَّبِ‏.‏
