The origin of the aforesaid story is found in the Sahih of al-Bukhari from Abu Usaid as-Sa'idi's Hadith.

مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ اَلسَّاعِدِيِّ [1]‏ .‏
