Riyad as-Salihin, 1645
Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the maker and wearer of a wig and the tattooer and the one who is tattooed. <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لعن الواصلة والمستوصلة والواشمة والمستوشمة ((متفق عليه)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadiths:</b><br>
1) Adding false hair, tattooing, removing hair from eyebrows, and making artificial spaces between teeth are all prohibited. The Hadiths point out that both the doers and those for whom these acts are done are cursed.<br>
2) Reference to the Sunnah as a basis for rulings is established by the Qur’an. That is why Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) cited as proof for the authority of the Sunnah the verse that says: {Whatever the Messenger gives you, accept it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it.}
