Riyad as-Salihin, 1615

`Abdullah bin Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the one who accepts Ar-Riba (the usury) and the one who pays it. <b>[Muslim]</b>. The narration in At-Tirmidhi adds: And the one who records it, and the two persons who stand witness to it.

وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ ‏

‏ لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم آكل الربا وموكله‏

‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏ ‏زاد الترمذي وغيره‏:‏ ‏ ‏ وشاهديه، وكاتبه

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br> 1) Riba is prohibited as it is one of the major sins. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who deals with it and all those who cooperate in that sin.<br> 2) The one who helps or participates in sin is as sinful as the original sinner and deserves the same punishment.
