Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There are some words, the reciters of which will never be disappointed. These are: Tasbih [saying 'Subhan-Allah' (Allah is free from imperfection)], thirty-three times, Tahmid [saying 'Al-hamdu lillah' (praise be to Allah)] thirty-three times and Takbir [saying 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is Greatest)] thirty-four times; and these should be recited after the conclusion of every prescribed prayer." [Muslim]

Guidance from the Hadith:
The Dhikr mentioned in the Hadith is one of the reported versions of Dhikr to be recited after obligatory prayers.
Tasbih, Tahmid, and Takbir are the enduring good deeds; whoever says them is promised good.

Benefit:
The variation in the versions of Dhikr to be recited after the obligatory prayers reflects the vast mercy of Allah Almighty towards His slaves and how He spares them hardship. The fortunate person is the one who recites all the reported versions alternately in order to be perfectly complying with the guidance of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) in this regard. He should memorize all these versions and observe as much devotion and attentiveness as he offers acts of worship.
