Riyad as-Salihin, 1314
Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A man asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "Tell me where I will be if I am killed while fighting in the way of Allah?" He (ﷺ) replied, "In Jannah." The man threw away the few dates which he had in his hand, jumped into the battlefield and fought on till he was killed. <b>[Muslim]</b>
وعن جابر رضي الله عنه قال: قال رجل: أين أنا يا رسول الله إن قتلت؟ قال: “في الجنة
فألقى تمرات كن في يده ثم قاتل حتى قتل
((رواه مسلم)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadiths:</b><br>
1) If a person seeks martyrdom sincerely, Allah will make him reach the status of martyrs. “Indeed, a person attains according to the sincerity of his intention.”<br>
2) They show the merit of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) as they were keen to do good and compete in it. Where are those who would follow their example?<br>
3) It is commendable to incite the believers to fight and seek martyrdom.<br>
4) A true leader would be at the forefront of the army, urging his warriors to fight.
