'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood for Salat at night, he would start his prayer with two brief Rak'ah. <b>[Muslim]</b>.
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا قام من الليل افتتح صلاته بركعتين خفيفتين ((رواه مسلم)).
