Riyad as-Salihin, 1173
'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) would sleep during the early part of night and stand in Salat during the latter part. <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
وعنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، كان ينام أول الليل، ويقوم آخره فيصلي. ((متفق عليه)) .

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) The best time for Qiyām al-Layl is the last third of the night.<br>
2) It was the Prophet’s guidance to give the body its share of rest at the beginning of the night, so as to be active in worship.
