'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform four Rak'ah of Duha prayer (at the forenoon) and would add to them whatever Allah wished. <b>[Muslim]</b>.
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي الضحى أربعًا ويزيد ما شاء الله . ((رواه مسلم)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadiths:</b><br>
1) The least number of Rak‘ahs of the Duha prayer is two, and there is no limit to the maximum. The Hadith that mentions eight Rak‘ahs does not indicate restriction to that number.<br>
2) We are encouraged to regularly perform the Duha prayer, whether we are travelers or non-travelers. The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) offered this prayer on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, i.e. during travel.
